The SHORT-A-MONTH Project is a challenge in which Paoli directs and produces a short film every month, starting with the month of September of 2018, running the span of a year, using whatever resources are available. Primarily based on adaptations of poems, these shorts explore stories of alienation, sexual discoveries, and unrequited love. 

SEPTEMBER - A TEDIOUS LIVING ARRANGEMENT 

Two roommates have separate revelations on how to cope with their difficult living arrangement.

DECEMBER - ALIEN CREATURES: PART 1 EVAN + NATHAN

ALIEN CREATURES is an anthology of short films, all dealing with some form of loss. EVAN + NATHAN follows the turbulent relationship between Evan and Nathan; a dancer who is yet to fully come out of the closet, and his charming, promiscuous roommate.
